Yoga Class Descriptions
12- week Beginners Series
Are you new to yoga or has it been a while since you have been to a class. This 12- week series is an introductory class designed to prepare the student to enter into a community yoga class with confidence. You will be introduced to the 8-fold path of Yoga. I will instruct you in various Asanas (postures) and Pranayama (Breath Work), and Dharana/Dhyana (concentration/meditation) will be introduced. Each class will build upon the previous class. The classes will be presented at a slow pace, with a lot of teacher demonstrations, feedback, and attention given to each individual student. Modifications and variations will be provided on an individual basis. Handouts will be provided to allow for self-study at home. If you don’t have a yoga mat, no worries, one will be provided if needed!

This class is designed to provide the student with a gentler approach to hatha yoga. We will move through various standing stretches and seated stretches to open the body in preparation for savasana, final relaxation. No upper body strength will be introduced. No experience needed.

This class will focus on opening the body and releasing muscles through sustained holding of postures. Various props will be used to allow for longer holds of stretches. A great class which focuses on increasing muscle flexibility. No experience needed.
Hatha Level 1
A physical step above Gentle Yoga. This class introduces upper body strengthening and deeper movement for flexibility. Vinyasa with linking of breath with movement is introduced. Additional breath work is offered. No experience needed, but completion of Beginner's series is recommended.
Free Spirit Yoga
Anything goes in this hatha level 1-2 class. This fun-loving class is designed to provide the experienced Yogi with a challenging physical practice. Vinyasa will be intermixed with longer holds of poses. Greater emphasis will be placed on standing, balance, and stabilization poses. Progression of breath work will be introduced. Experienced Yogis
De-stress the mind, Float the body while being PAMPERED in a Safe Space that is Guided with Compassion. Soften the body with supportive bolsters and blankets as guided meditation and ambient music takes you into a state of deep relaxation. Gentle touch and aromatherapy are integrated throughout the practice to accentuate your experience.

Private sessions also available
A private session allows for tailoring a yoga practice to meet your needs and goals. Whether you are looking to start a new practice, deepen your practice, or spend time working towards specific goals. Working one on one with a teacher allows you to experience the benefits of yoga in a personal way. Sessions may be held in my home studio or your home.
